PostSubject: The Khanid Infestation [RETIRED]   Tue Jun 14, 2011 1:55 am

This is an infestation of the Downworlders' Berzerker-B Nanocells gone to a whole new scale. They have infested numerous amounts of universes and are stopping at nothing to consume everything and destroy what they can't consume. They are one of the worst kinds of infestation you can run into, as their shots contain the Berzerker-B/3 Nanovirus. This means that if their bullets hit you and you don't have nanobots or the nanotechnology to destroy the Berzerker-B/3, you will almost certainly become one of them.
As well, it seems they have also evolved into a B/4 strain, though the numbers of this new, more advanced strain are still few.

EDIT:
The Khanid Infestation is no longer in use, and is archived.

Berzerker-B/3 Android Soldier
Such androids have, surprisingly, a fair amount of intelligence. Although they can't speak, they have an extremely complex communications system that is extremely difficult to decode and rather easy to change in a couple of seconds. They can also use that same comms system to hack into the enemies' headset and communicate with them that way, and can understand you quite well.

Berzerker-B/3 Steamroller Tank
Integrated with a quite intelligent AI, these tanks can lead a squadron of androids even in the heat of battle. They possess impressive firepower, including a main 105mm Cannon, Two gatling guns, Anti-missile flares and chaff, and light mortar shells.

Berzerker-B/3A3 Lawnmower Gunship
Integrated for greater compatibility with older helicopter technology, the rotor is surprisingly silent and can take this gunship at very high speeds. All weapons on this gunship is for utterly destroying the enemy's ground forces.

Berzerker B/4A2 Doombringer Gunship
A nightmare for any ground forces, this is an extremely heavily armored anti-gravity gunship that can function in zero-g situations. It is extremely difficult for ground forces to destroy such a craft as it can even withstand individual anti-air missiles. These craft are seldom found in the initial attack and are often located in the core group of any Khanid army, and are an extremely high-danger target. In space, these gunships actually have the ability to fight against fighters due to the Khanid's intricate web of communications.

Berzerker-B/3A1 Skirmisher
The more common type of fighter, offering superior speed at a very slight cost of agility and especially armor. They can hit hard, fast, and in numbers.

Berzerker-B/4A2 Brawler
A strange new variation to the B/3A1, these have the added ability to hack into enemy missiles and AI control systems while on the fly. This variation offers additional firepower and agility than its other, more common craft.

Berzerker-B/3 Stratosbombarder
Large, bulky, and can deliver heavy amounts of pain to whatever it shoots at, whether it be ground target or starship. A single one is bad news, nevertheless a swarm of them.

Berzerker B/3 Dropship
A massive dropship, able to fit five inside its cockpit, a single dropship can carry up to three of its tanks or three detachments of infantry. A B/3 Dropship is equipped with heavy armor, shielding, cloaking technology, and no weapons.

Berzerker B/3 Light Destroyer
Equipped with high-grade cloaking technology, these ships would be the space 'submarines' of the Khanid fleets. It has very little armor and mild shielding, but very heavy weaponry designed to do maximum damage to shielding and large-hulled ships such as Flagships, Battleships, Heavy Cruisers, and Carriers.

Berzerker B/3 Heavy Destroyer
Better armored and shielded than the Light Destroyer, this ship are the base of the Khanid fleets, able to deal balanced damage to both small crafts and large ships, while being able to withstand plenty of damage.

Berzerker B/3 Fleet Cruiser
These things are titans compared to Heavy Destroyers (which are only 1/4th the size of this Cruiser), and they can deal heavy damage to both small craft and large ships alike. They can take far more damage than the Heavy Destroyer, but are less plentiful than the Heavy Destroyer, thus it's more of a support cruiser to the Carriers.

Berzerker B/3 Carrier
With as much room as a Ska'ari carrier, these ships are the most valuable assets to any sizable Khanid fleet. These carriers are lightly armed with weapons suitable for fighting small crafts.

Berzerker B/4 Android Cossack
A much more powerful version of the B/3 Android Soldier, the B/4 Unit is a deadly adversary, able to demolish even the toughest of opponents thrown at them. These units are only found at the very heart of the Khanid forces.

Berzerker B/4 Android Conquistador
Another one of the types of units found at the heart of Khanid forces, these armored infantry units are not only a nightmare for infantry but for light vehicles too.

Berzerker B/4 Tank
Several times more agile than the B/3 Tank, the B/4 tank is also quicker and a heavier hitter. As well, it retains the range and armor of the B/3 Tank, making this tank a massive threat.

Berzerker B/4 Destroyer
A heavily-armed and armored ship that suits its escort purpose very well. These destroyers are around the capital ships they are escorting and will even block shots for the capital ships if the need arises.

Berzerker B/4 Frigate
A fast and agile ship meant for stirring up trouble amongst the enemy ranks. Despite its small size and weak weapons, the weapons are extremely quick at reloading and it can be difficult to hit, exactly because of its small size.

Berzerker B/5 Battlecruiser
A surprisingly elegant craft for the Khanids, the Battlecruiser is an extremely fearsome craft, able to take even Ska'ari ships head-on and fight them to a draw. Battlecruisers are also the carriers of the inner Khanid fleets, able to carry 500 small craft with great ease.

The Khanid Home Ring

The Khanid Home Ring always settles itself on the first fully-infested planet. It is immovable when locked in and provides an ironclad defense for the planet, making it practically improbable to attack except with the largest of armadas. The Home Ring is only warped in once a secure foothold has been established in a universe, and the entering of this colossal structure marks an often deadly turning point for the Khanid Infestation's progress, as this means the Khanid Infestation will no longer leave the place short of all-out assimilation and extraction of all resources in the universe. This structure is not essentially a superweapon, but rather, it is more of superdefence.

To defeat this colossal structure, each wind must be destroyed individually. The reason behind this is that each wing supports a massive, powerful shield generator that covers another wing, with one of such wings covering the planet it's anchored on. This leaves a single wing open for attack, but it's better than nothing.

The destruction of this Ring and the infested planet will mark the crushing defeat of the Khanid Infestation. The more important section of the Khanid Fleets will disappear as they flee to a friendlier, conquered universe whilst the rest of the Khanid forces stand idle, frozen on the spot, waiting for orders from the Ring that will never arrive.
