The Celesthian Consortium

Government name: Celesthian Consortium

Ruling Document: Elysium Compact

Summary: Formed in response to the invasion of the Elysium Galaxy by Sh'rrg forces (see Sh'rrg Armada), the Celesthian Consortium consists of 5 different systems, all with habitable planets, terraformed colonies, and mining bases, as well as 30+ smaller constituents that rely on the Consortium and can be considered commonwealths.

Governmental System: Monarchy with representative democracy

Population: Estimated ~35,500,000,000

Demographic: Celesthian (bipedal humanoid), Var'nak (bipedal vague humanoid), Sa'lai (bipedal vague humanoid), Fr'gun (bipedal near humanoid), Xanturan (quad-pedal vague humanoid), several assorted races

Date of formation: 15th Stellar Month, 34th Stellar Day, 5830th Stellar Year (based on beginning of Celesthian ability to record time ~2528 A.D.)

Economic Brief: Planned economy with broad government taxes and regulation, fair commerce and market laws, and controlled very heavily

Military Brief: 11 Main Fleets (4 Celesthian, 2 Var'nak, 2 Sa'lai, 1 Fr'gun, 1 Xanturan, 1 constituent race) average ~2,500 frigates each, 1,000 cruisers, 750 capital ships, 500 carriers, 200 dreadnoughts except 1st Fleet with ~7,500 frigates, 3,000 cruisers, 2500 capital ships, 1500 carriers, 600 dreadnoughts; Monarch is standing commander-in-chief with advisors, Admiralty Board

Military Strength: Navy (largest branch with around ~200,000,000 servicemen and women), Marines (second largest branch with ~75,000,000 servicemen and women), Army (third largest branch with ~20,000,000), Special Operations (Classified, estimated ~250,000), Universal Intelligencia (Classified, estimated ~100,000)

Colonies: ~8 per race, 28 for Celesthians

Soft Ships

SX-501 Viper Starfighter

A tough, agile, and overall powerful ship, the SX-501 Starfighter, colloquially known as the Viper-Class Fighter, was designed by Imperium Technologies, armed with Quad Super-heated Plasma Emitters that are directional weapons and therefore require a superior targeting computer than most but make up for it by being unmatched in destructive power. They can also carry a complement of up to 64 Tri-Cluster Unilateral missiles or TCU missiles, which shatter into smaller explosives on impact then spray the target with fragmentation damage, usually overloading shielding. Armored with Tri-Layer Reinforced Kevpelon, an alloy that has 5x the hardness of a diamond, and a Whiplash Shield Generator, the only drawbacks are high production cost and slow production time compared to the other 4 Consortium nation's main fighters. The Viper excels at destroying soft targets such as fighters, bombers, fighter/bombers and can hold their own against interceptors and deal moderate damage versus hard targets such as frigates, destroyers, cruisers, battleships, carriers, dreadnaughts, etc. but fall prey to the medium corvettes and their pinpoint anti-fighter weaponry. Manned by a single pilot, it has its own life-support, an ejection system with rescue beacon and emergency life support, including rations for two days, a small thruster unit, and a miniature power unit. With the Regalia R&D designed X303P Impulse Engine, an advanced prototype with the ability to go into hyperspace, the Viper is the fifth fastest ship in the Elysium Galaxy and is supplied by the Mark-XI Vintu reactor.

SY-101 Arachnid Starbomber

A heavily armored flying tank of a ship, the SY-101 Starbomber, colloquially known as the Arachnid-Class Bomber, is the main bomber in service of the Celesthian Navy. Designed by Imperium Technologies, the Arachnid has 8 Unilateral Destructor Core or UDC launchers, looking like the 8 limbs of an arachnid, which implode on impact, absorbing any energy, like shielding, into the implosion and then exploding outwards causing tremendous destruction and can be adapted to use TCU Missiles, 2 Front Mounted dual SPE's which are also directional and require a separate targeting system from the missile/core targeting system, and 1 rotating quad SPE cannon which is controlled from a seperate targeting system but can be controlled from the same targeting system as the dual front mounted SPE's. Armored with Quad-Layer Reinforced Kevpelon, an alloy that has 5x the hardness of a diamond and the Whiplash Shield Generator, the Arachnid is a high priced, slow production heavy hitter compared to the other 4 Consortium nation's main bombers but excels at destroying hard targets, such as frigates, destroyers, cruisers, battleships, carriers, and dreadnoughts but are weak against soft targets such as interceptors and fighters; they can however hold their own against other bombers, fighters, and fighter/bombers with such powerful weaponry and heavy armor but are outgunned by medium corvettes and their pinpoint anti-fighter weaponry. Crewed by two, a pilot and a gunner, it has its own life-support, an ejection system with rescue beacon and emergency life support, including rations for two for two days, a small thruster unit, and a miniature power unit. With the Regalia R&D designed X303P Impulse Engine, an advanced prototype with the ability to go into hyperspace, the Arachnid is the eleventh fastest ship in the Elysium Galaxy and is supplied by the Mark-XI Vintu reactor.

SA-391 Pincer Starinterceptor

A nimble and devastating ship, the SA-391 Starinterceptor, colloquially known as the Pincer-Class Interceptor, is the main interceptor of the Celesthian Navy. Designed by Imperium Technologies, the Pincer has four Bi-Cluster Super-heated Plasma Emitters, or SPE's, which are commonly mistaken as lasers. Lasers, however, are directed beams of light which are harmless unless extremely focused. SPE's function by emitting a burst of super heated plasma encased in and then shepherded to their target by micro EM pulses. The bi-cluster emitters of the Pincer are different from the Viper in that they rotate between each of the 2 barrels of the 4 lasers, which allows for quicker firing as there is time for one barrel to cooldown and recharge while the other fires. Additionally the Pincer is able to carry up to 16 TCU Missiles. The tradeoff for the extreme agility, nimbleness, and firepower of the interceptor is that they only have a single layer of Reinforced Kevpelon Alloy and a Whiplash Shield Generator, causing them to be more vulnerable to weapons that a Viper or an Arachnid would shrug off with minimal damage. Manned by a single pilot, the Pincer has its own life-support, an ejection system wtih rescue beacon and emergency life support, including rations for two days, a small thruster unit, and a miniature power unit. Being the fastest ship in the Elysium Galaxy on impulse only, the Pincer is driven by the Regalia R&D X303P Impulse Engine, an advanced prototype with the ability to go into hyperspace, and is supplied by the Mark-XI Vintu reactor. Being a starinterceptor, the Pincer excels at taking out soft targets such as fighters, bombers, fighter/bombers, and interceptors, and can do light damage to hard targets like frigates, destroyers, cruisers, battleships, carriers, and dreadnaughts but are easily taken out by medium corvettes and their pinpoint anti-fighter weaponry.
